Children`s Happy Meal
The "Happy Meal" is a meal specially tailored for children, sold at the fast food chain McDonald`s since June 1979. Happy Meal toys have become increasingly elaborate in recent years. While initially they were little more than a cheap plastic trinket such as a Frisbee or ball, they have since evolved into much more sophisticated toys, many of which are a tie-in to some existing toy line or contemporary motion picture. A toy is typically included with the food, both of which are usually contained in a small box or paper bag with the McDonald`s logo. Past examples of recent Happy Meal toys have included Ty Beanie Babies, Neopets toys and a trading card, Yu-Gi-Oh! trading cards, Mattel brands Barbie and Hot Wheels, Hello Kitty, Hummers, and toys based on many Disney movies like Pirates of the Caribbean and cartoons or shows such as Power Rangers and movies such as Surf`s Up.

Milkshake and Quarter Pounder
McDonald`s offers menu items from beverages such as our Milkshakes to our famous Quarter Pounder. A Quarter Pounder is a McDonald`s hamburger made from approximately 1/4 pound of beef, weighed before cooking. It was introduced in Fremont, California in 1971-1972 and became part of the national menu in 1973. It is sold with or without two slices of processed cheese, but the Quarter Pounder with Cheese is by far the more popular item. A milkshake is a sweet, cold beverage which is made from milk, ice cream or iced milk, and sweet flavorings such as fruit syrup or chocolate sauce in Canada, most regions of the United States, Australia, and the United Kingdom. Milkshakes are usually served in a tall glass with a straw, and whipped cream may be added as a topping. Three popular milkshake flavors are vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry but we are constantly making new flavors with our new developments. Fast food outlets use milkshake machines which freeze and serve a pre-made milkshake mixture. Throughout the United States, especially in fast food and casual dining restaurants, a milkshake may be referred to as a shake.
